It’s the little differences
I don’t often find myself reading conservative American blogs. And here’s why.
These are two 100% genuine and unaltered comments from a blog post on Hot Air about Donald Trump firing homophobic former Miss California, Carrie Prejean:
By wearing only a bikini, essentially the same as Peter’s undergarments, this girl has “exposed her breasts and thighs,” which is shameful (Exodus 20:26; 28:42; Isaiah 47:3) and she is therefore naked by God’s standards.

There’s a lot more about modesty in the new testament. 1 Thess 4. Is a good example.
There’s also the issue that public nakedness in the bible was always shameful, and in heaven people will be wearing robes.
The idea that the naked body is to be publicly appreciated comes from greek and roman religions and cultures, not christian ones.

If you’re wondering why American conservatism is intellectually bankrupt, look no further.
